Burlington, MA – Jamey Booher, formerly of Grasstowne and The Booher Family, is the newest member of NewFound Road, replacing Randy Barnes on bass. A native of Johnson City, TN and younger brother of Joe Booher (mandolin), Jamey is very excited about this new venture and says he’s “glad to be playing music with my brother again, and to be a part of NewFound Road!”

NewFound Road has emerged as one of the most exciting new bands on the bluegrass landscape. Life in a Song, released in 2006 on Rounder, was NewFound Road’s first nationally-distributed album and their fourth overall. Boasting strong songwriting, thrilling instrumental work, and soulful solo and harmony singing, Life in a Song is quintessential contemporary bluegrass. No Depression described it as “…crisp picking, compelling harmonies, and solid songwriting,” while allmusic.com heralded it as “a winning modern bluegrass album that pays homage to the genre’s history without becoming trapped in it.”  NewFound Road’s new album, Same Old Place will be released in Spring 2009.

NewFound Road is: Tim Shelton (guitar/vocals), Jr. Williams (banjo/guitar/vocals), Joe Booher (mandolin), and Jamey Booher (mandolin/vocals).
