ST. PAUL, MN — Red House Records is proud to announce that Scottish folk legend Archie Fisher will return for his first US tour in over ten years. Known the world over as one of the finest traditional singers, he is also the famed host of BBC Radio Scotland’s award-winning “Travelling Folk” show, which he has been presenting for over 25 years. Recognized for his significant contributions to Scottish folk music, he was inducted into the Scots Traditional Music Hall of Fame and in 2006 was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire), a prestigious honor nominated by his peers and bestowed by Queen Elizabeth. Now, touring in support of his album Windward Away, he will return to the United States for a month-long tour that will include an Irish Music Cruise and some showcase appearances at the International Folk Alliance Conference (see below for dates).
